State Capital Information Service, Inc. is the oldest and most reliable privately-owned state legislative reporting service in Illinois. We have operated without interruption since our first legislative reports were issued in 1945, covering the 64th Illinois General Assembly.

Those first reports were hand-typed on blue stencils and reproduced using the latest technology of that era - the mimeograph. Over the years, we have kept pace with the newer technologies for gathering, reporting and delivering the vital information that keeps the democratic process flowing.

In today's modern age those technologies include email, websites, text messaging and other various notification methods.  One thing has remained the same over all our years in service, customer satisfaction and fast reliable access to the latest going-on at the capitol.
